Whether an organization is public or private, large or small, employees must be educated about the local, state and federal laws which govern their operation. Employers are also well-served to effectively communicate to employees the values which make them great, and the code of conduct particular to their own enterprise.
Syrus Global’s philosophy favors strong coordination among all facets of the organization’s ethics and compliance program. We have chosen partners which provide the most effective web-based and classroom-led training available. Each training partner shares our mission and our zeal for providing valuable ethics and compliance solutions.
We can fashion an ethics education and training program to fit a wide range of needs and budgets. Topics number more than 100, including code of conduct, ethical leadership, conflicts of interest, foreign practices, sales, doing business with the government, privacy, employment and labor, safety and the environment. Courses are conducted in the languages spoken by the participating employees. We work with small companies and not-for-profits, as well as large public companies.
Consider starting with an interactive workshop, Ethics in Action:
Ethics in Action
Ethics in Action is an interactive workshop designed to bring the enterprise’s values and code of conduct to life for employees. Expected behaviors are internalized, and participants leave the session with real-world lessons learned.
Customized to Your Organization
Every organization has its own culture, and its own overarching mission. We start with your values, and your mission, and teach people how the two marry up in everyday work settings. Our tried-and-true approach to making a difference does NOT incorporate a talking head. Instead, we engage participants in a “what this value translates into for me in my job” dialog.
Use of Stories, Acting Scenes
For lasting learning to occur, people need to see themselves in a scenario and get engaged in a challenge or dilemma. The Ethics in Action session effectively pulls participants into lively role-play and group discussion. Workshop participants volunteer to read the parts in specially selected scenes. Incorporating fun adds to the involvement, and contributes to the success of this program.
Q & A
- Who is the target audience for Ethics in Action?
- This course is most effective with groups of 10 to 30 participants. We suggest starting with the senior leadership team, and continuing with individual departments.
- How much time does the workshop require?
- We can tailor the length of course to your needs, but suggest no less than 1½ hours and no more than 3 hours.
- How much does it cost?
- The pre-course collaboration usually requires 3 to 10 hours of preparation work costing $750 to $2,500; the cost of conducting the first workshop is $1,700 to $2,450 (depending on length of course) and each subsequent similar-content workshop would cost 15% less than the first. Any required travel expenses would be reimbursed.
- Who would conduct the workshop?
- Syrus employs professionals who are adept at facilitating large-group sessions, and who are experienced in the ethics industry.
"Depend not on fortune but on conduct."
